Baan Kamala Backpacker Hostel, Kamala Beach

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, where the warm and welcoming staff made all the difference. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day out. However, the location could be slightly concerning for those looking for a quieter atmosphere, as it's surrounded by bars and the nightlife tends to be loud at times. The dining options weren't the best, as breakfast was not directly available at the hotel, but overall, I felt it offered great value for money.

I booked this hotel last minute seeking a quieter atmosphere than Kata Beach, and it turned out to be a really good experience. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable, which was a great value considering the price. However, the area around the hotel could be a bit unsettling at times, and amenities were limited as I had to go elsewhere for dining and pool access.

We had an amazing stay in the ‘Exclusive Rooftop Suite’ with fantastic mountain views and a stunning wrap-around balcony. The room was beautifully designed with charming decor and a relaxing atmosphere. The friendly staff made our time there even better with their attentive service. However, the downside was the lack of a proper restaurant and the slightly isolated location away from main attractions.

My experience at this hotel was quite disappointing, particularly due to the area it’s located in. Though most of the staff were helpful and the room cleanliness was okay, the lack of actual facilities and the dimly lit room made it feel more like a guesthouse than a hotel. The misleading claims about amenities, such as the lack of a restaurant and pool, contributed to my overall dissatisfaction.

This hotel offers solid value for your money, with clean accommodations and a friendly staff ready to assist. It's just a short walk from Kamala Beach, which is a plus. However, the dining arrangements are shared with another hotel and could use improvement. Additionally, the surrounding area has a few concerns that might not suit everyone.
